Engaged by Digicel PNG as a Senior Oracle database Administrator and my primary target since I join in 2018 was to stabilize the database environment and reduce the number of downtime which happens once or more in any given week costing the company thousands of dollars. Today, it takes us months even the entire year without unplanned downtime and business has been seeing positive growth each year. Working together with my colleague in upgrading all older versions of Oracle Databases (10g/11g/12g) to 19c and migrating to the new data centre. Putting in place backup and recovery system and procedures, and setting up Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring. Also provide daily support to our core application team members from Billing, CAIN, Products, DGTV and DWH in trouble shooting customer issues, data analysis and ad hoc report request, upgrade and moving data between systems. Contributed so much in automating in-house processes and email alerts on business data and critical system component.

I was engage by Skylink Invent to design and build a system called Solar Customer Management Console (SCMC) for Digicel PNG. The purpose of this system was to manage and monitor small solar products sold by Digicel and moved between different warehouses or agencies. It has interface for Digicel customer care and support staff. The system has the ability to monitor a single product by its serial number from the time it is acquired from supplier, moved from different agency to agency until it reaches the customer. used by finance companies to manage their customer loan account from creation to completion. One of the unique and beauty of this system is its automated repayment schedule. Also design and developed SMS Application system used by PNGFM radio personal to interact with listeners via SMS. The platform was integrated with SMS gateway and connects to the mobile operator (Digicel) via SMPP link. So message sent by mobile subscriber comes straight into the database from the mobile operator via SMPP link and SMS gateway and is publish out to the studio using oracle application express in a real time.

Developed a system called FINS to supplement the core banking system (ICBA). FINS main focus was onmanaging and monitoring loan repayment and keeping daily historical data on loan account. Something that was not available in the ICBA system. Another major achievement was automating much of the Senior Management Team reports that was run every two weeks and initially, this was done using excel and access database. The process was move to oracle forms and oracle reports with the core programs written in PL/SQL packages. It takes up to eight hours to go through the processes. Today it takes less than two hours to complete the reports and submit to senior management Team with more accuracy.
