In this new position, I play a role in the research, development and release of our high level third-party applications, working with the countries most reputable and most respected organizations to deliver citizen facing applications, with the aim of making it easy for citizens to access national services and to also help curb the need to make payments on premise via online payments.

My relationship with this organisation was a contract that spanned for 3 months and two weeks. Within this time I was the Lead Engineer on a project that aided agents in the collection of data on all connected farmers working under the supervision of the client's company. I and the team came up with a solution that on first hand, performs the responsibilities of a RESTful API but most importantly focused on offline first data stream storage. This implementation, identified data files (Yaml) stored on unique devices registered on the platform, which at then uploaded when need be all in one request, data collected was managed by an Odoo (https://www.odoo.com) modelled dashboard specific to the project's requirements. Lastly, a USSD implementation for payment collection was also implemented, this delivered service purchases right into the hands of respective farmers who have opted for it. My time with the team was an amazing one, I had the privilege of working with very smart individuals from whom I gain a lot of knowledge from. Within this time I occupied the position of the lead engineer whereby I worked closely with the C.T.O (Chief Technology Officer) on our choice of technologies which then transitioned into the technical goals of the company. Also I lead a team of two engineers (Frontend & Backend) with whom we developed a portal for managing Farmer information, Farmer orders, Mortality rate metrics for all animal farmers, Farm Animal Vaccination schedules, Vaccination Subscriptions and lastly and extensive sales metrics to measure the growth of services delivered In this period I reported directly to the C.T.O and C.E.O (Chief Executive Officer) on update and proposal to maximize team and service growth. 

My responsiblity was to optimize and update the "underwriting" (term used in the insurance space as a way of registering or insuring a property of a client) module which allowed multi-level verification and traveled between departments from the lower level to the upper level then closed off and taken over by the finance team in charge. Lastly I closed off a document viewer which formatted "PDF" (Sharable Document format) files to be viewed directly on the same page but within its own modal element. My time with the team although was brief but it was an amazing one, I had the privilege of working with very smart individuals from whom I gain a lot of knowledge from in context of insurance and property management. During this time I occupied the position of the Lead Software Engineer whereby I worked closely with the C.E.O (Chief Executive Officer) on which technologies best fit the deliverables requested by our clients. I was in charge of heading the development team in building and engineering a product that aided the operations, sales and development teams uniformly exchange information to aid in delivering quality service at all times. My main role was to solely engineer a bulk sms and email platform that delivered bespoke service to its customers and resellers. The agreement had deliverable set for every week, where we jump on a google hangouts call and iterate one what task(s) has been completed and map that to our launch dates.   

My daily activities mostly entailed maintaining and improving our backend service delivery portals which aided the Customer Support Team, Operation Team and Finance Team in completing their daily goals, through adding in required features in sync with our release timelines and solving any outstanding customer support issues recorded by the team in charge if need be. Joining this company, was an awesome experience, working with very smart and curious individuals who stop at nothing to get the job done, their wits and love for technology kept me going. This was an initiative started by a few friends and I to basically aid each other to grow our programming knowledge. We mostly looked for challenges from google which involved entry level algorithms and tried solving with any language we are proficient in. It was an amazing experience for me in growing my logical skills in programming. My time with these individuals was an amazing one, I had the privilege of solving problems with very smart individuals from whom I gain a lot of knowledge from in context of procedural programming.
