contracted from TechSavanna Safaricom is a leading telecommunications provider in Kenya. My roles includes: ● Leading revamping of the Masoko, an e-commerce platform, from deity dependencies into a NextJS based implementation served with GraphQl and deployed on AWS EC2 instances. ● Contributed towards development of Masoko as a mini-app within M-Pesa, fully React Redux based progressive web implementation. M-PESA is a top mobile money solution in Kenya, this was done with the goal of making M-PESA a super app ● Configured deployments in both development and production environments for Masoko within AWS EC2 instances. ● Assessed UI designs for Masoko for technical feasibility including conducting sessions with the team to further discuss the customer journey. ● Contributed towards re-engineering entire Safaricom frontend components into a common ui library that can be re-used throughout the entire company. This is with the aim of streamlining customer journeys across all client facing products by safaricom that are built on React. This was done with storybook js as a means of showcasing different UI components and how to use them in code. ● Contributed towards github pull request reviews and peer to peer coding and rubber duck sessions. ● Conducted micro frontend chapterboosts presentations and demo sessions to further incentivize team members towards a micro frontend type of approaches with singlespa js and terraform.
