AFB is the corporate banking platform for Wema Bank, under the ALAT umbrella. I w orked on a team of 10 to build the system from scratch to production. I was the only engineer who worked on every single part of the project from UI design and conversion to data migration and environment setup, managing and contributing to over 18 repos/services/apps, with 95% of code-base written in C# and JavaScript. I was team lead during my last 2yrs. Below is a list of activities I carried out: • Standby support, supporting business and technical decisions, and many more • Worked closely with QA engineering team on app deployments, data migration, and system supports • Led sprint planning/estimation, join in product backlog refinement and code review • Built a complete prototype system for 2FA mobile app and API, with a detailed Software Requirement Document. • My biggest single achievement on AFB was revamping the bulk payment system, which could only accept 55 beneficiaries at a time, and had a big issue of making payments 10 times more to each beneficiary in a batch. Stabilizing the platform with my team too also led to over 500% increase in customer transaction volume. • During my stay, mentored trainee developers - and software testers who have little or no experience in the enterprise world.
