We're seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join us on a freelance or part-time basis, with the potential to grow into a more significant role as demand increases.
Role Overview
The Data Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting the vast datasets we collect, helping us uncover trends, build reports, and visualize insights. This individual will also work closely with our team to understand the data we have so far and help create and maintain robust data commons. If you have expertise in Power BI and are passionate about transforming raw data into valuable knowledge, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with the team to build and maintain a centralized data repository (data commons).
- Organize, structure, and document existing data to ensure accessibility and usability.
- Work with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven insights.
- Provide recommendations based on data findings to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular audits and validations.
- Identify and resolve inconsistencies or gaps in datasets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a freelance or part-time capacity.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- Solid understanding of data structures, organization, and analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with building and managing data repositories or commons is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL).
- Knowledge of statistical methods or data science techniques.
- Familiarity with the data lifecycle in SaaS or tech-driven environments.
